Ready for anything!

It was a wonderful Christmas.
There was snow.
An insane quantity by any one's measurement.

We are not used to this level of snow in the Lower Mainland.
The piles were so high it was not uncommon to hear the questions asked;

Where is my car exactly?
There is a garden under there?
Are you sure?

Luckily my emergency prepared husband was vigilant on making sure the drains were clear. At some point this would all disappear in a rainy sludgy mess, and he was ready.Once explained, the neighbor's were quick to follow suit.
When the rain started to come there was no need for random digging through gigantic piles of snow to find the drains on our street.

We had that covered!Which is a good thing. Its getting really wet out there!
Luckily I can hide inside, with my beautiful new camera!

Playing with my favorite new feature! The 1 cm macro mode!
He! He!
I'm really looking forward to spring :)

And now, wind!

That tidy channel that your husband and the neighbours dug is exactly what I and my neighbours did -- and then Beavis & Butthead snow removal buried it for us last night!

And we all have cabin fever.

Yes it looks like the garden is lost under that pile of snow, by now probably washed away to make room for the next! Happy New Year and all my best wishes for you and your family.

Its a Fuji Digital Finepix s2000hd. I couldn't afford the digital SLR of my dreams. So we researched and researched and this one had a lot of the features I was looking for, plus has manual overrides on almost everything. I sure got my bang for my buck buying the day after Boxing day!!
